Shrimp malaicurry /Prawns malaikari
Hello, welcome to Saida Bengali Recipe.
Today I’m going to show you a simple recipe for shrimp malaicurry. Very favorite dish of Bengali's. It’s Bengali traditional recipe, This recipe prepare with in 30 minutes.
Let’s start with the ingredients.
Ingredients:-
- Mustard oil 5 Tea spoon
- shrimp fish 4 pics (300 gm)
- Chopped onion half cup
- Onion paste 4 spoon
- Garlic paste 2 spoon
- Salt as per taste
- Turmeric powder half spoon
- Red chili powder half spoon
- cumin powder 1 spoon
- Coriander powder ¼ spoon
- Coconut milk 1 and half cup
- Green chili 4 pics
- Pinch of home made garam masala

Method:-
👉 Clean the fish very well,drain the water from the fish.
👉 In a bowl add shrimp fish,salt,Red chili powder,Turmeric powder and mix very well.
👉 The fish should be marinated for a minimum of 15 minutes.
👉Turn on the flame and heat a pan on high flame,and 5 tea spoon mustard oil and let it heat.
👉 once the oil is heated properly, Pre-marinated fish gently drop into the hot oil.
👉 Fry it on medium flame till it turn golden brown,keep flipping in between. Take it out in a bowl.
👉 Add chopped onion, fry it till onions turn golden brown (approx 2-3 minute).
👉 Then add onion paste,Garlic paste and salt mix well all the ingredients and cook it 2 minutes.
👉 Add Turmeric powder,Red chili powder,cumin powder and Coriander powder, mix it.
👉 Add coconut milk and mix it, cover the pan and cook it for a minute on low flame.
👉Add pre-fried shrimp fish mix it well, cook it for 3-4 minutes.
👉 Add green chili and garam masala powder, mix it well.
👉 Cover the pan and cook it 4-5 minute on medium flame.
👉 Turn off the flame and ready to serve with hot rice or roti.
